Guerrilla Girls
This work shows the boundaries women had to face before they had more rights. It was rare for art work by women or non-white artists to be shown and the Guerrilla Girls posters brought to light the issues that these artists faced. The posters were a quick and easy way to spread their message while the statistics were created by the Guerilla Girls themselves or reinterpreted from art magazines or other sources. Again their art represents social boundaries.
The Story by Mobstr
This put a smile on my face. Continuing on from Mobstr’s “Playing With The Buff Man” series, The Story tells the tale of the on going dance between the artist and the so called “Buff Man” as they both fight for control over the wall.
Typewriter Helvetica - Johannes Klein-Reesink
“My idea was to write with my old typewriter, but not in the usual way! So I took my typewriter apart and arranged it back together in the style of “Helvetica Neue Bold”. In the end there was one poster of the alphabet and one with a quote of Wim Crouwel on it.”
